Mónica Félix

I was born and raised in the tropical heat of Puerto Rico, so when I moved to the charmingly cruel winters of New York City I struggled. During one of my first winters in Brooklyn, my friend Xaymara invited me to a hot yoga class- I stepped into the unknown and came out years later committed to a practice that brought me joy (and all I needed to bring to class was my body and mind)!

Beyond my own backward and forward bends, I’ve explored hatha yoga as a photographer. I am a visual artist and it has been through my search for what is human that I fell in love with the original hot yoga practice. Discovering and growing my practice through the lens and on the mat continues to mold aspects of myself I explore confidently, like the ever-flowing ups and downs of the wheel of life.

A tool for health, survival and moving meditation, hot yoga has been the gateway to deeper spirituality and discovery of mindful living. This is a lifetime expedition and I hope to share the journey with others as both a student and a teacher.

SUMMER SOLSTICE YOGA PRACTICE

90 MINUTES. Celebrate the light of the longest day of the year with a powerful Summer Solstice yoga practice on June 21st, 2026 at 12pm. Together, we’ll move through 108 Sun Salutations, thoughtfully broken into four sets of 27, each honoring one of the elements. We begin with Fire, igniting heat, strength, and determination—building energy from the core and awakening inner power. We then flow into Water, inviting fluidity and grace, softening the body and linking breath to smooth, continuous movement. Next, we rise into Air, cultivating lightness and expansion—each inhale lifting, each exhale creating space and clarity. Finally, we ground into Earth, steady and rooted, connecting deeply to stability, endurance, and presence. This moving meditation is designed to align body, mind, and spirit, helping you arrive fully in the present moment with clear intention. Step into this seasonal turning point with purpose, vitality, and connection.

HEATED VINYASA FLOW

In our vinyasa classes, we invite you to delve into the beautiful fusion of grace and strength, creating a harmonious experience that enables your body to explore its full range of motion. These open-level vinyasa flow sessions are thoughtfully designed to place a special emphasis on the fundamental elements of yoga: Pranayama, Asanas, and Concentration.

The classic hot yoga sequence is thoughtfully designed to cater to individuals of all levels, making it an ideal choice for beginners, a rewarding experience for seasoned practitioners, and a welcoming entry point for those who've never explored yoga before. The Classic hot yoga series encompasses a total of 26 carefully selected postures and incorporates 2 dedicated breathing exercises, all of which are performed within a heated room.
