Channing Burt

Channing grew up outside of Boston and moved to New York City for college in 1995. She has made her home in Brooklyn for the past ten years, and the Flatbush Bikram studio her second home since 2006. She took her first Bikram class in May 2005 and fell in love immediately with this practice that strengthens mind, body and spirit (with a built-in facial). Since then, Bikram Yoga has been an essential part of her life connecting her to her own self, the community and collective unconscious. Channing holds a masters in applied linguistics and TESOL from Columbia University and works as an adjunct English professor at Pratt Institute. She attended Teacher Training in Los Angeles in the fall of 2012 and is still as in love with teaching as she is with taking class.

75-90 minutes. It has been more than two years that Pascale teaches her Yoga Class on music selected by DJ Jueppa. It adds a sensual and fun element to traditional Vinyasa Yoga.The music varies from soft ambient sounds ( Philip Glass) to Jazz (Ilhan Ersahin) or electronic dance music (Andy Bros) or world music. Pascale realizes that music is a tool for going inward and for feeling joy during practice.
